Chronicle of the Mist
Drawing from the Buddhist legend of the Devas and the Asuras, Chronicle of the Mist tells not the story of a war, but of a war's ending. Legend has it that within the Misty Forest dwells Anu, the young princess of the Asura clan. Thick fog blankets that place year-round—mortals who enter perish, and even immortals struggle to escape. It is a magical ward set by the Asura King for his beloved daughter, meant only to hide her within the forest, safe from the Deva clan's covetous eyes, lest past tragedy repeat itself. She is the most unspeakable secret hidden deep within the mist, and the very source of the conflict between the two clans—yet in a battle between the Deva and Asura forces, it is she who, wielding an extraordinary art of enchantment, lightly wounds the enemy commander, helping the Asura clan sound the retreat and bring the fighting to an end.
